Nathan Reynolds

Nathan Reynolds is a Graduate Gemologist and Applied Jewelry Professional through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and has a bachelor's degree in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship from Abilene Christian University (ACU). He currently serves as a Lead Gemology Expert at The RealReal, where he develops and delivers gemology training programs, oversees the authentication and valuation of fine jewelry, and provides expert guidance on market trends and industry best practices.
Nathan’s career spans several respected auction houses, including Doyle, LiveAuctioneers, and iGavel Auctions. These roles provided him with valuable experience in jewelry consignment, exhibition curation, and the appraisal of rare and significant pieces. His work has earned him a reputation for precision, integrity, and a deep understanding of the luxury goods market.
His passion for gemology was sparked by an early entrepreneurial interest in reselling antiques and collectibles, which evolved into a full-time career in the field. In addition to his current role, he provides consulting services to museums, jewelry designers, auction houses, and galleries—specializing in gemstone identification, valuation, and authentication.
Nathan was appointed to the Museum Advisory Board in 2024 and is committed to advancing gemological knowledge and promoting excellence in the presentation and preservation of mineral and jewelry collections.
